PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Operation Dough-Nation ProgramsOperation Dough-Nation Programs

Since the founding of Panera Bread and its franchisees have been active in our communities. Operation Dough-Nation was founded in 1992 to formalize our commitment to community involvement. Since then, it has grown to include four major activities: Community Breadbox™ cash collection boxes, the Day-End Dough-Nation™ program, Panera/SCRIP Card fundraising and participation in community events.

Community Breadbox
The Community Breadbox program ensures that donations made at Panera Bread feed back in to the community. A portion of cash donations made by customers in bakery-cafes are matched by Panera and its franchisees and distributed to local non-profit organizations. Contributions generated through the program have provided basic necessities for those in need, and have created special places and opportunities. If you would like to contribute to our efforts to assist local non-profit organizations in the communities we serve, please look for the Community Breadbox collection containers at participating Panera Bread or Saint Louis Bread Co.® locations.

MDA Stride & Ride 2010MDA Stride & Ride 2010

What: It is definitely not a health walk! It is a family reunion inside Katy Mills Mall or The
Woodlands Mall! Everyone “strides and rides” one time around the mall and gets to
know each other. Teams are treated to great snacks, good music to “warm up”, get
team pictures taken, “Victory Lap” around the mall and the fun goes on and on.

When: March 27, 2010
Registration begins at 8 AM.
Stretches and Victory Lap begin at 9 AM

Where: Katy Mills Mall

How: It is easy! All you have to do is form a team and MDA will provide all the tools for
your team to be successful! Each member’s goal is to raise minutes of research for
MDA families! Did you know it costs $85 to fund one minute of research for MDA!
There is not limit to how many minutes your team can raise.

Why: We need to find a cure! All of the money raised at the walks help support MDA’s
valuable programs. We are able to continue to fund our local MDA clinics, help repair
equipment, send kids to MDA Summer Camp, and most importantly support our
researchers.

Most importantly – it is easy, fun and helps so many people!

For more information on joining the family reunion as a team or sponsor,
contact your local MDA office at 832-485-4429 or ahodge@mdausa.org!
